Make fresh Garlic Hummus with homemade Pita Chips that will taste way better than any store bought brand. Made with our KBS Garlic N Herbs seasoning add herbs like thyme, ginger root, tarragon, bay leafs and rosemary with one easy step!
- 1 cup tahini.
- 1 lemon.
- 2 cans garbonzo or chickpeas.
- KBS Garlic N Herbs - to taste.
- pita bread with pocket.
- 1/2 cup olive oil.
- 1/4 cup minced garlic.
1.) Cut pita bread into chips and place on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Coat with olive oil and season with KBS Garlic N Herbs. Bake at 350°F for 6 minutes or until crispy. Let chips cool for at least 10 minutes to get a nice crunch.
2.) Add tahini and lemon juice to food processor and blend for 1 minute then scrape edges. The secret to creamy hummus is the order you add the ingredients to the processor. Then add minced and 1/4 cup olive oil and blend for another minute. Finally, add chickpeas then blend again until it is nice and creamy. Tip: For smoother hummus a quarter cup water. Enjoy!
