All hail the Caesar! While this salad is a staple at pretty much every restaurant if you haven't made the traditional dressing from scratch or had it prepared table side then this recipe is for you! This traditional recipe is made with lemon juice, olive oil, egg, Worcestershire sauce, anchovies, garlic, Dijon mustard, Parmesan and cheese. What's different from every other caesar recipe out there? Instead of plain old pepper you can spice the dish up with our KBS Black Pepper N Herbs blend adding herbs like rosemary, oregano, garlic, and thyme all in one simple step.
- 1 Head of Romaine
- KBS Black Pepper N Herbs
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 4 tablespoons parmesan cheese - grated
- 1/2 cup shaved parmesan
- 2 ounces anchovy filet - minced or use paste
- 1 egg yolk
1.) In a large salad bowl add oil minced garlic, egg Worcestershire, mustard, lemon juice, and grated parmesan - season to taste with KBS Black Pepper N Herbs. Whisk ingredients well.
2.) Once dressing is of a creamy texture add romaine lettuce and top with croutons and shaved parmesan. Enjoy!
