These warm and flakey Spanakopita rolls are the perfect greek treat! Made with our KBS Sweet & Hot Peppers seasoning add a little kick with green, red, and jalapeno pepper flakes.
Serves: 10 - 12 wheels
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- KBS Sweet & Hot Peppers Blend
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen chopped spinach, dried
- 2 cups feta cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
Directions:
1.) Add oil to skillet and saute onion until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. Add garlic and several dashes KBS Sweet & Hot Pepper - cook for 2-3 minutes longer. Remove from heat, add to large bowl and let cool.
2.) Beat eggs then add feta and spinach to bowl; mix well.
3.) Unfold puff pastry and spread each sheet with half the spinach mixture to within 1/2 in. of edges. Roll up jelly-roll style. Cut each into slices. Place cut side down on greased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm and season to taste with KBS Sweet & Hot Peppers Blend.
