This late night favorite may seem intimidating to cook with several ways to bread the chicken along with different approaches to that oh so delicious General Tso sauce. But don't worry, with the help of our blends that Sweet and Spicy flavor is easier to find than you think! Made with our salt free Sweet & Hot Pepper seasoning this easy-to-prepare General Tso's recipe will help you take in all that Chinese flavor take out!
Serves: 2-4
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken thighs cut into 1 inch peices.
- 1/4 cup cornstarch.
- Frying Oil.
- 2 cloves garlic minced.
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger.
- 2 teaspoon Kissed by the Sun Sweet & Hot Pepper Seasoning.
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar.
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons hoisin sauce.
- 1/4 cup water.
- 3 tablespoons sugar.
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
- Several dashes Kissed by the Sun Sweet & Hot Pepper Seasoning.
Directions:
1.) Coat chicken thighs with cornstarch. In a small bowl mix rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, water, sugar, and Kissed by the Sun Spice Sweet & Hot Pepper Seasoning. Whisk ingredients.
2.) Heat oil in a medium frying pan and add chicken chunks. Fry until crispy - about 6 to 8 minutes.
3.) Remove chicken and drain the oil from the pain. In the same pan add garlic, ginger, more Kissed by the Sun Sweet & Hot Pepper Seasoning and cook for about 1 minute. Add fried chicken along with sauce then stir for another 1 to 2 minutes. remove from pan and enjoy with a side like rice or broccoli!
