Red Quinoa Salad W/ Goat Cheese | Easy Recipes

Red quinoa, also know as the “mother grain”, has a higher protein count than any other grain and also contains all eight essential amino acids. Add fresh vegetables like onion, sweet peppers and cucumbers along with creamy goat cheese and you have one deliciously healthy salad. Serve chilled it is a must try main dish salad or great side. Made with our salt free KBS Sunny Island seasoning add herbs like lemon zest, garlic, red pepper, paprika, and onion all in one simple step!

Serves: 4-6.


  • 2 cups red quinoa. 
  • 4 cups water.
  • 2 sweet peppers, diced. 
  • 1 cucumber, diced.
  • 1 red onion, diced. 
  • KBS Sunny Island Blend - to taste. 
  • 1 can chickpeas. 
  • 1/2 cup olive oil. 
  • 1 cup goat cheese, crumbled. 


1.) Bring water to a boil and add red quinoa. Reduce heat, cover and let simmer for 15-18 minutes. Add to large bowl and let chill in fridge. 

2.) Add onion, peppers, chickpeas, and cucumber in a large bowl. Add chilled quinoa, goat cheese, oil and KBS Sunny Island Blend. Stir well then chill.
