Chimichurri Shrimp | Easy Recipes

Originating in the countryside of Argentina and Uruguay Chimichurri is an incredibly versatile sauce that can be used on just about anything. Made with a few simple ingredients like parsley, cilantro, olive oil, garlic, & red wine vinegar it has become one of the easiest and tasty sauces in our kitchen. Add shrimp and these little guys become a fast & flavorful appetizer, or serve with rice or grains for full a entree. If you're not a shrimp fan substitute any white fish or scallops. Made with our KBS Seasoned Sea Salt add flavors like ginger root, celery, garlic, parsley, and kosher sea salt in one simple step! 

 Serves: 1-2

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups parsley - stems ok. 
  • 2 cups cilantro - stems ok. 
  • 1/2 red onion diced. 
  • 4 garlic cloves.
  • 1/3 cup olive oil. 
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar. 
  • 1 lime. 
  • 1/4 cup KBS Seasoned Sea Salt
  • Large uncooked shrimp - tails on. 

Directions:

1.) Add parsley, cilantro, garlic, red onion, 2/3 cup olive oil, red wine vinegar, and lime juice into a food processor, if you do not have one you can still make Chimichurri sauce by finely mincing ingredients with a cutting knife. 

2.) Add remaining olive oil to a sauté pan and cook shrimp - about 2-3 minutes on each side. Add Chimmichurri and stir well. Serve hot or chilled.
